ATIL is a web-based knowledge platform on e-legal resources on trade and investment law in Africa.

ATIL stands for Africa Trade and Investment Law.

The platform is operated by ATIL Business Hub, and is envisioned as a one-stop knowledge hub for trade and

investment law. The e-legal resources include primary legislation (Acts, Laws, etc.) and secondary legislation

(regulations, rules, orders, etc.) as well as policies and administrative measures (directives, circulars, guidelines,

notices, etc.). The e-legal resources are catalogued and indexed by subject-matter and cover the spectrum of

activities or sectors any person (natural or legal) may be interested to trade or invest. As per the ATIL tagline,

access allows one to know in order to trade or invest and, as a result, grow.

The platform is planned as an on-going build-up of e-legal resources both in terms of countries and updates in

the resources (as and when they are enacted or issued). The platform shall offer the e-legal resources on Africa’s

economic communities on free access basis and the resources for African countries on paid subscription, per

country basis.
